1. Match Format
- Team Size: Matches are played in 7v7 or 8v8 formats, including the goalkeeper.
- Coed Requirements: Coed teams must have at least 2 female players on the field at all times. A maximum of 5 male players is allowed on the field.
- Minimum Players: A team must have at least 5 players, including 2 females for coed leagues, to start an official match.
- Match Duration: Games consist of two 25-minute halves (or 22 minutes for some leagues) with a running clock and a 5-minute halftime.
2. Player Equipment
- Uniforms: All players must wear matching team jerseys.
- Shin Guards: Shin guards are mandatory for all players.
- Any player found not wearing shin guards during a match will receive an automatic yellow card.
- The player will be required to leave the field for 2 minutes, and their team must play one player down during that time.
- Footwear: Soccer shoes are required. Cleats must not have metal studs.
3. Game Play Rules
- Kick-Off: The ball may be kicked in any direction, including backward.
- Offside Rule: Not enforced in 7v7 or 8v8 matches.
- Slide Tackling: Strictly prohibited.
- First Offense: Direct free kick awarded to the opposing team; offending player serves a 2-minute penalty.
- Second Offense: Player is ejected for the remainder of the match; substitutions are allowed.
- Ball Out of Play:
- Sidelines: Kick-ins are indirect and must be played on the ground.
- Goal Kicks: Must be taken within 5 yards of the goal line and cannot travel over the halfway line in the air.
- Scoring Restrictions: Goals cannot be scored directly from kick-offs, goal kicks, or kick-ins; the ball must touch another player before a goal is valid.
4. Goalkeeper Regulations
- Distribution: Goalkeepers are not permitted to throw or kick the ball over the halfway line in the air.
- Handling Area: Goalkeepers may use their hands within the designated area, extending up to the first cone (approximately 10 yards from the goal line) and across the full width of the field.
- Time Limit: Goalkeepers have 5 seconds to release the ball after gaining possession.
5. Substitutions
- On-the-Fly Substitutions: Allowed at any time during the match.
- Procedure: The player exiting must be completely off the field before the substitute enters.
- Location: Substitutions should occur near the midfield line, and both teams must conduct substitutions from the same side of the field.
6. Disciplinary Actions
- Yellow Card: Results in a 2-minute penalty where the team plays with one fewer player.
- Red Card:
- Immediate Ejection: The player is removed from the match, and the team plays with one fewer player for the remainder of the game.
- Suspension: The player is suspended for the next scheduled match, including any participation with other teams during this period.
7. Team Roster
- Minimum Roster: Teams must have at least 12 registered players.
- Matchday Limit: A maximum of 18 players may participate in a single match.
8. Match Outcomes
- Regular Season: Matches ending in a tie after regulation time are recorded as a draw.
- Playoffs:
- Overtime: A 5-minute golden goal period is played.
- Penalty Shootout: If still tied, a penalty shootout determines the winner.
9. Free Kicks and Penalties
- Free Kicks: All are indirect unless specified otherwise. Opponents must be at least 6 yards away from the ball.
- Penalty Kicks: Awarded for intentional fouls within the penalty area.
10. Registration Fee Policy
- Payment Deadline: All teams and individual players must have paid their full registration fees by the third season game.
- Ineligibility for Play: Any team or player who has not paid in full by the third game will not be allowed to participate starting with the fourth season game.
- No Refunds: Players or teams who made a partial payment but failed to complete payment by the third game will forfeit any amount paid. No refunds or credits will be issued.
- Enforcement: The league reserves the right to strictly enforce this policy to maintain fair competition and operational stability.
11. Forfeiture and Withdrawal Policy
- Voluntary Withdrawal: Teams that walk off the field after the match has commenced will be disqualified from the league without a refund.
Forfeiture Penalties:
- First Offense:
- Game recorded as a loss.
- 3 points deducted from accumulated standings points.
- Second Offense:
- Game recorded as a loss.
- 3 additional points deducted from accumulated standings points.
- A $100 fine will be imposed, payable in full by the Wednesday prior to the next scheduled match.
- The 365 Adult Soccer League staff reserves the right to remove the team from the league and playoffs without refund for any games not played.
- Third Offense:
- Immediate removal from the league and playoffs.
- No refunds will be issued for any games not played.
Advance Notice of Forfeit:
If a team knows in advance that they will be unable to attend a scheduled match, they are encouraged to notify the league office as early as possible.
While early notification may assist the league in scheduling a replacement match for the opposing team, the forfeiting team will still be recorded as having lost the match.
12. Referee Authority
- Final Decisions: All decisions made by the referee during a match are final and must be respected by all participants.
- Respect and Compliance: Players, coaches, and spectators must obey and respect the referee’s decisions at all times.
- Zero Tolerance Policy: Any player who disrespects a referee, either verbally or physically, will be immediately removed from the league without a refund.
- The league takes referee abuse very seriously and will enforce this policy without exception.
13. Player Conduct
- Sportsmanship: All players are expected to maintain a high level of sportsmanship toward opponents, referees, teammates, league staff, and spectators.
- Prohibited Behavior: Fighting, physical altercations, or any form of verbal abuse toward opponents, referees, or league representatives is strictly prohibited.
- Disciplinary Action: Any player who engages in fighting or abusive conduct will be immediately removed from the league for the remainder of the season and may be permanently banned from participating in future leagues.
- League Authority: The league reserves the right to take additional disciplinary action, including permanent suspension from all future 365 Sports Group events.
14. Additional Policies
- Equipment Compliance: Players must adhere to equipment regulations, including the prohibition of metal studs on cleats.
- Conduct: Unsportsmanlike behavior, including foul language and physical altercations, will result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or expulsion from the league.
